About the Role
The Evening Release Manager works under the Director of US Operations. The person in this role leads the evening team that handles import transactions. This is an active leadership role. You guide your team through each shift, keep work moving on time and confirm compliance with all required rules. You also help the team solve problems and support clients when questions come up.
This role matters because clients expect timely entries and smooth service. You help the team meet these expectations. You speak with clients, carriers, and agencies when needed. You also work with daytime leaders to make sure both shifts share the same goals. Your work helps the entire operation stay aligned and consistent.
What You Will Do
You help shape the release strategy so that client needs and compliance rules stay in balance. You lead the evening release team by offering clear direction and steady support. You review their work, guide them through issues and help them improve over time.
You make sure entries and related documents are filed on time. You answer questions from clients, carriers and government partners. You take part in daily team talks. You review performance and help the team reach set targets.
You work with the US Trainer to find training needs and help build plans that support growth. You stay updated on customs rules so you can guide the team through any changes. When needed, you assist with hands on tasks like entry filing and problem resolution. You also take part in the after hours on call rotation and work up to two statutory holidays each year.
Who You Are

What You Bring
You have at least five years of experience in customs brokerage. You also have at least two years of leadership or management experience. You hold a Certified Customs Specialist designation. A customs broker license is a plus.
You are willing to travel up to fifteen percent of the time. Even though the role is remote, you must visit the office as needed. You can work the required hours which fall between four in the afternoon and half past midnight Eastern Time, or three in the afternoon to half past eleven Central Time. You can also take part in on call duties.
Working Conditions
This role is remote but requires regular travel to the office. The shift runs during evening hours. You may work two statutory holidays each year. You also take part in an after hours on call cycle.
