What the role covers
You guide large enterprise customers through every stage of their lifecycle. You study their goals, review their usage patterns and watch early indicators of customer health. You ensure they understand how to use Lumen’s products to deliver results across their organization.
You also identify risks, manage renewals, support revenue retention and help uncover new opportunities that align with customer needs. You partner closely with sales, delivery and support teams to ensure each customer experience is smooth and consistent.
Main responsibilities
• Build long term relationships with senior decision makers and influencers.
• Understand the customer’s environment and ensure their goals align with Lumen’s capabilities.
• Review usage metrics, adoption indicators and renewal timelines.
• Identify challenges that limit product adoption and recommend clear next steps.
• Build a customer success plan that outlines each stage of the lifecycle.
• Define expectations for milestones and outcomes.
• Support customer experience by focusing on value, clarity and measurable progress.
• Recognize cross sell and up sell opportunities and engage sales when needed.
• Drive strong revenue management practices that support retention and account growth.
• Track risks, identify root causes and coordinate solutions across internal teams.
• Work with delivery and support teams to ensure smooth deployment of products and services.
• Build renewal strategies that align with customer priorities and long term plans.
• Guide migration decisions and support actions that protect margins and customer satisfaction.
What Lumen looks for
You should have at least seven years of customer success or account management experience. You need strong communication skills, confidence working with Fortune 500 companies and the ability to operate at C-level. You should feel comfortable presenting, negotiating and advising complex organizations on technology driven challenges.
You must be able to translate data into insights, guide internal teams, and influence customer strategy with clarity and confidence. You should also understand networking, data and evolving technology trends well enough to guide high level conversations.
Key qualifications
• Seven or more years in customer success or account management.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting complex, multi division, global organizations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build wide and deep relationships in large accounts.
• Confidence presenting to executives.
• Strong analytical ability and skill in data interpretation.
• Experience working across departments such as sales, marketing, delivery and support.
• Ability to negotiate on behalf of customers while protecting business goals.
• Good understanding of technology, data networking and industry trends.
• Solid decision making skills and financial awareness.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Compensation and benefits
Salary ranges from 86,825 to 115,763 depending on location and experience. Lumen provides a full benefits package that supports physical, mental and financial wellbeing. Bonus opportunities and incentives may apply based on the role.
