The Association has a small but dedicated team. Staff members work fully remote but stay connected through meetings and events. Travel may be required a few times a year to support staff activities and help maintain a strong team culture.
About the Role
The Community Services Assistant helps the team manage key tasks that support members and programs. The work week runs Monday through Thursday from eight to five, and Friday from eight to one. The role requires someone who is detail minded, calm under pressure and ready to help with both simple and complex tasks.
The position supports face to face events by gathering supplies, preparing presentations and managing invitations. During events, the assistant helps run the registration desk and keeps track of attendance. The role also supports committee activities by posting agendas, recording attendance and sending meeting reminders. Virtual meeting support is included as needed.
Database work is another important part of the role. The assistant helps maintain clean records, prepare reports and check that member information stays current. Financial support tasks may include coding bills, sending invoices, posting payments and preparing reconciliation reports. The role also helps with audit preparation and licensing steps.
Educational programs receive support as well. This may include video editing, creating events in the management system, submitting continuing education files and assigning digital credentials. The assistant keeps track of program participation numbers and updates records.
Communications tasks include preparing monthly metrics, handling mail merges, drafting basic social media updates and helping gather survey data. The role may also help update website information when needed.
